ASTROOCEANOGRAPHY

Astrooceanography is definitely a new field of science, that, since the name says, explores the oceans on other worlds. NASA has generated the Water worlds program, which does just that. If you are the slightest bit interested in Space exploration, extraterrestrial life, oceanography or anything aquatic, you might like to take a look at this new field of discovery. We know that several moons and planets within our own solar system have water in it. It might be in sort of underground ice, for the polar caps, or like a frozen surface blanket that has a liquid ocean several miles below. As well as understanding the existence of water at several places within our solar system we also have detected water molecules far out in space. Hubble along with other telescopes demonstrate us that water molecules take place in other galaxies, nebulas and Exo planets. And high is water, there exists most likely life. In order to explore all of the possibilities, NASA has established several programs. NASA’s water world program, the ocean world exploration program (OWEP), the network for ocean worlds (NOW), and a lot of others. Some of those programs be employed in cooperation or as grants with assorted universities throughout the country.

One with the goals would be to actually send a mini submarine to one with the moons and also have it explore the ocean there. The development is well underway. There are also a number of other ideas into account, as concerning how to explore those watery worlds. One of those ideas, is usually to send a compact probe to your surface of one on the moons, and possess it melt itself, powered by a smaller nuclear reactor, throughout the ice layer from your surface, every one of the way down for the liquid ocean below. This is just an understanding about all of the programs, technologies and exploration that’s planned for that not too distance future. We will go into details on the way in later articles. As technology advances rapidly, with every new telescope we’re sending into space, we’ll discover more and even more details about water on other worlds. This combination of articles will remain well on top of it and adhere to the adventure closely.

So, should you enjoyed this introduction, please keep coming back often to be sure of the news and updates. Astrooceanography will rapidly end up being the most important field of space exploration, because remember: Where there may be water, there is certainly life
